The Care Fee System
Care can be paid for privately or be partially or fully subsidised by the government. The subsidy you are eligible for is subject to asset and income testing and is determined by work & Income NZ (WINZ). The level of care you require will be determined by the NASC assessment.
If you are assessed as needing long term residential care and are a private payer the maximum standard care fee is set by Health New Zealand.
Payment for care can vary across our villages from standard rooms, premium rooms and care suites and attract an additional charge above the standard care fee.
