Celebrating a Milestone: Keith Williamson Turns 104 - Archer Villages & Care Homes

The Archer family recently celebrated an impressive milestone as one of our cherished residents, Keith Williamson, marked his 104th birthday. Keith is not unfamiliar with being thrust into the spotlight, he was recently featured in the Star’s special Anzac coverage in which his poignant stories of service and loss during the Second World War were deeply appreciated by many readers throughout Christchurch.

Keith has called Archer Beckenham home for the past 15 years, living independently in a villa within the village, and is a vibrant and lively member of the community. During his birthday speech, he made special mention of feeling of belonging he has found in the village, and that ‘living in the village is like being part of a big family’. We are thrilled that Keith is enjoying the close-knit and supportive atmosphere that so many wonderful staff and family members work so hard to provide for the residents.

Over the years, Keith has formed fulfilling friendships—’loads of lovely friends’ to bring colour to his life.

As Keith celebrates this wonderful 104th birthday, his story continues to inspire and bring joy to all of those around him, proving that age is just a number when life continues to be lived to the full.

Our Village residents have the choice of a fixed weekly fee, guaranteed not to change for their time in their villa ...

On entry, residents choose one of the two options for Weekly Service Fees

Variable Weekly Service Fees: Residents can choose a variable fee option,
which is set at $135.00 per week on entry. This fee will increase each year by no
more than the percentage rise in National Superannuation.
Fixed Weekly Service Fees: Our Fixed Weekly Service Fees provide stability throughout your residency, with no annual increase. This fee is fixed at $157.00
per week for your entire residency in the village, allowing you to budget clearly.

No capital loss

We give you and/or your family the reassurance that in a property downfall you’ve guarantees...

Capital Gain & Capital Loss: As a ‘Right To Occupy’ agreement isn’t a property purchase, and like most NZ retirement villages, Archer Villages do not offer residents a share of any capital gain, and any potential loss is borne solely by Archer Villages. Residents are effectively sheltered from the property market fluctuations.

The Village weekly service fees are reduced from the date of License termination down to 0%...

On license termination date your weekly service fees reduce to 0% and the village undertake the refurbishment, marketing and resale of the villa.
